Hillyard Holiday Celebration
December 2nd and 3rd

As most of you know this will be the 4th year of the Hillyard Holiday Celebration. During the first three years Teri (from Bank of America), Nancy (from Big Sky's Tavern), Ann Marie Hamilton and I have been at the helm of organizing the event.  It has been great fun and we have learned a lot and met tons of great people.  I learned Friday that some of our participants have gone to the other small business communities and told them what a great event we offer.

Unfortunately with me being transferred back to Patrol it has become difficult for me to make the rounds to tie the ends together. There have also been changes at Bank of America (more hours less employees) that have made it a challenge for Teri to stay as involved as she was in prior years.

Luckily, we were approached by some representatives from Historic Hillyard Partnership this fall, they have offered to partner with us this year and then take over the lead position next year. We have had many discussions to keep the spirit of the event alive and we are comfortable that they will continue to develop the event. Teri, Nancy and I will remain involved, just from behind the scenes after this year. I am sure that Ann Marie will work well to tie the old and new together!
