Hillyard Festival Association Meeting
Tuesday, May 8th, 6:30pm, Northeast Community Center, 4001 N Cook St. The Hillyard Festival Association is gearing up for another year of fun Hillyard style!  Our theme for this year is Hillyard Heroes!  ChalkArtWalk is the first Saturday in June and the Hillyard Festival is the first weekend of August and we plan to continue the improvements and add even more fun and merriment!  Come help us plan, volunteers, or just put in your two cents. Greater Hillyard Business Association Meeting
Wednesday, May 9th, 6:30pm, Bluz at the Bend, Market & Illionis. Join us for the Greater Hillyard Business Association.  We've just submitted our Notice of Interest to the Mann Hall Local Redevelopment Authority Advisory Council, not what?  Come find out this and much more, we are growing and moving quickly!  All are welcome. 

Mayor's Community Development Workgroup Public Meeting
Thursday, May 10th, 4:30-6pm, Spokane City Hall, 808 W Spokane Falls Blvd. The Mayor has organized a team to review those new strategic choices for community development. That direction may include leveraging CD dollars to create jobs, improve the economy, and otherwise improve income levels in the neighborhoods that money is earmarked to serve. The team will do its work over the next 45 days, in time for the Community Development Board to consider the results at its annual retreat.  This is the first meeting.  Agenda: Briefing from Community Development staff about funding and past practices.  More information.

Hillyard Neighborhood Council Meeting
Wednesday, May 16th, 6:30pm, Northeast Community Center, 4001 N Cook St. The Hillyard Neighborhood Council is the communications conduit between the City and the Neighborhood and now the conduit between Hillyard organizations.  Come to our meeting to get caught up on all the happenings of your neighborhood.  The HNC also administers the neighborhood's clean up funds and is currently hearing from DOT and the City about the current road construction projects.
