Hillyard Heritage Museum
Intro by S. Martin
"Hillyard has a museum?" you ask? Yes, we do.
Currently the museum and all the artifacts are
housed in the train cars that sit behind the
property that is now designated as Hillyard Heritage
Museum Square (Market and Queen). This is the
property on which the train cars will be relocated
upon Hillyard being awarded the Transportation
Enhancement Grant from the Spokane Regional
Transportation Council (SRTC). If awarded, the work
must be complete within two years. Concept
plans have been in the works to landscape the new
museum location, as well as improve the sidewalks
and street adjacent to the property.
