7/10/06 Update: AWESOME! That's a word that I
rarely use in conversation but the best to describe the acoustic concert
staged at the Market Street Market Friday night. Brought to our
neighborhood by Disco Bob Kinyon, Logan Heftel, Kristan Marlo, Michael
Garfield, and Mark Ward, accompanied by violinist Kelsey, played to a
small crowd like it was thousands. Their original compositions and cover
songs were soulful, touching, amusing,
Opening the show will be Logan Heftel. At just 19 his accomplished vocals, harmonica and guitar styles, have landed him a contract to perform at colleges across the U.S.A., and public venues during the summer months around the Inland Empire. Next up will be Kristen Marlo, age 20, currently stationed at Fairchild A.F.B. Kristen has served our country faithfully during the Afghanistan Conflict and in Iraq. Her experiences in the Middle East have influenced her beautiful original ballads and love songs, comparable to Sarah McLachlin or Norah Jones. More information may be found at http://www.myspace.com/kristenmarlothegreat.
Rounding out the show will be Mark Ward with a variety of vocal and guitar originals. Mark has played many venues in and around the Spokane area. He recently played to an enthusiastic crowd at our own Hillyard ChalkArtWalk on June 3rd. More information on Mark may be found at www.myspace.com/markwardmusic. Stop by the Market Street Market Friday, July 7th, and have a wonderful evening supporting these accomplished and talented musical artists! |
