Northeast Neighborhoods Holiday Calendar

The Greater Hillyard Business Association offers the no-cost opportunity to put your group's activities on a Master Calendar for the Holiday Season.   Recently, GHBA noted that the Northeast Community has no one place where residents can go to learn about all community activities planned for the Holiday Season. In past years, a detailed Community Holiday Calendar might have helped groups plan activities to avoid scheduling conflicts with others.

GHBA chose a free public service project for 2006: to publish a Holiday Calendar on websites (and when possible, in local printed media) so anyone who lives, works or plays in the NE Neighborhoods may seek out and fully enjoy all the offerings available for the Holiday Season.

GHBA won't charge for announcing activities on the NE Neighborhoods Holiday Calendar if:

1. The activity is open to residents of Spokane 's NE neighborhoods.
2. The activity relates in some way to seasonal holiday observances.
3. The activity is scheduled between November 10 and December 31, 2006.

Activity descriptions are welcome from any group--GHBA has no limits for listing.   Religious, commercial, or community-based activities are all welcome.  (We reserve the right to edit and condense in the interests of good taste and space). If you know leaders of an activity, group or program that meets the criteria, urge them to contact GHBA (e-mail below).  

GHBA will list programs or activities in the NE Neighborhood Holiday Calendar that include the following information (fictional examples shown):

Please send announcements by October 31 .  GHBA will try to include later changes and announcements, but cannot make promises due to staff commitments.
